| Having leant from the prototype the factory can move to manufacture faster We take responsibility for the prototype Our design and manufacturing teams work together to deliver the design and support the transition to manufacture We have extensive prototyping contacts through our network of factories and have a variety of methods we can use to prototype We can design specific testing plans to prove the function of your product The purpose of the prototype and testing stage is to test the design for suitability and highlight changes or improvements that must be made. Depending on the project it may be necessary to make several further prototypes before the product is finally ready to progress to manufacture. The aim at this stage is to produce prototypes that function as closely to the final product as possible. However as production processes cannot be used prior to tooling the prototype often varies from the intended product. Materials may differ and the mechanical function, appearance and durability may be different. However once these factors are taken into account a huge amount of valuable work can be achieved. Prototyping is also tremendously rewarding and exciting both for the customer and the team involved in its design. Batches of prototypes may be produced for fieldtesting and usability testing depending on the customers requirements. Skill-sets that may be used: Prototype and model making, Test engineer, Electronic engineering, software/firmware developer, mechanical engineering, materials engineer, industrial design, production engineer, project management We can increase quality and reduce time and costs: Depending on the project it may be possible to save substantial tooling and unit cost by design change prior to manufacture. This skill-set is focused in reducing cost without change to the required function and quality. The functional requirement and product specification form part of this process. The second part of this stage involves designing test strategy for the product in production. If the production process has a number of stages or a number of processes are combined then an integrated test system is required. The level of system detail will vary depending on the required quality and the cost risks associated with failure during production. Electronic products typically have a number of test stages designed into the firmware so that any issues can be spotted at an early stage before costly components are lost. Skill-sets that may be used: Production engineer, Test engineer, Quality manager, Electronic engineering, Software/ Firmware developer, Mechanical engineering, Materials engineer, Industrial design, Production engineer, Project management. Using Tianyi to prepare the quality control plan for your offshore production ensures: The quality control plan is essential in defining the requirement for the production run. At this stage Tianyi work with customers to define and agree the quality required and the measurements for it. The quality control plan will evolve during the production cycle and often this will require several rounds of communication and revision. Skill-sets that may be used: Quality manager, project manager, Commercial negotiation. Using Tianyi to manage the production for customer offers the following benefits: Investment in mould is often the most expensive part of a production project. Once capital has been committed to the mould the timely delivery of the first production run is very important. This period is very high profile in companies both internally and externally as colleagues and customers alike wait for the first delivery. It is essential to have the right skills available to manage the smooth delivery of the mould and troubleshoot any problems that occur along the way. Open communication between customer and factory is vital. Tianyi have quality inspection, tooling and management expertise to manage this process. This extensive infrastructure is essential in managing the mould production. Skill-sets that may be used: mould Engineer, Project Manager, Quality Inspector, Mechanical Engineer, Commercial Negotiation. Using Tianyi to manage the production and quality inspection offers the following benefits: Once the mould is approved and the quality plan is in place progress must be monitored carefully during mass production. If an issue occurs this is often an opportunity for us to further define quality or improve the production process. Tianyi have the correct skills and experience to manage these issues. Our commitment to having local engineers and inspectors on site results in fast issue resolution. The product is inspected prior to shipping and the documentation issued can be used as the release mechanism for payments. Skill-sets that may be used: Production Engineer, Quality Inspector, Commercial Negotiation, Shipping and Logistics | |
